As the medical director of our practice, Dr. Chen is a spine and pain specialist with more than 23 years of experience.
In addition to giving seminars on the interventional management of back pain in major medical centers in the USA such as University of Michigan, and Albert Einstein University, he also serves as a co-director of Pain and musculoskeletal fellowship program in UMDNJ. He is a chief author on the spinal injection procedures in a current textbook and eMedicine.
After a residency training in Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in 1998, he served as an outpatient attending physician at the University Hospital, UMDNJ, Newark, New Jersey through 2002. He helped established the interventional pain service in the University Hospital UMDNJ, Newark, New Jersey.
He is currently board certified in pain management, physical medicine and rehabilitation, as well as electrodiagnostic medicine. Dr. Chen also holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscien.
